How to Make Cocktails with Coffee

So you’ve just purchased some beans from Hoxton Coffee, and you’re inviting your friends and family around for a massive party to celebrate. How can you mix it up after the first few coffees? How about some of our favourite coffee cocktails...

1. Dublin Iced Coffee

This popular cold cocktail mixes coffee, whiskey and simply syrup together to create an intoxicating Irish blend. After layering those ingredients in a highball glass, simply fill it up with ice before pouring cream over the top to let it slowly mix into the liqueur. Sprinkle cinnamon on top to taste.

2. Dark Moon

In preparation for this one, cold brew your coffee and combine with coffee liqueur and rum of your choice four hours ahead of time. Then, mix with cola in a large jug before splitting between smaller glasses. Best served on the rocks.

3. Siciliano

For the Italians amongst you - or indeed your Italian friends - try mixing vermouth, amaro and your Hoxton coffee in a tumbler glass with some syrup. Once they’ve been blended, pour ice on the top and finish with club soda. Garnish with a slice of orange.

4. The Blind Abbot

Our personal favourite: take whiskey, liqueur, Hoxton coffee, bitters and cinnamon syrup and mix them all in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake until the outside of the cocktail shaker goes icy and strain into a glass. We like it topped with whipped cream. Got any of your own suggestions?
